Day 1 CPT Offered
Alliant International University offers a unique opportunity for its students to begin their Curricular Practical Training (CPT) right from the first day, also referred to as Day 1 CPT. During the initial academic year, students have the option to work and study part-time or full-time. In the subsequent year, they can engage in full-time work-study programs as part of Optional Practical Training (OPT). This structure allows students to gain practical work experience in their student internships while pursuing their American education, providing a valuable pathway for professional development.

These programs offer both paid and unpaid positions, helping you build your resume and establish connections in your chosen field. In addition, many of our programs are offered in a hybrid format, giving you the flexibility to attend classes online while also participating in in-person learning sessions at different times throughout the academic term. This hybrid format allows students to schedule their coursework around their work commitments, ensuring that they can make the most of both educational and professional opportunities.

Gain Practical Work Experience
For students seeking more structured professional experience, our Co-op Programs offer a blend of full-time study and full-time work, typically alternating semesters between the two. This allows students to earn while they learn, gaining long-term, immersive work experience that directly applies to their field of study. Day 1 CPT (Curricular Practical Training) is another option for eligible students, allowing them to begin working in their field from the start of their program. This gives immediate access to practical work experience, ensuring that your education is complemented by professional development right from the beginning.
