The application is complete and now it’s time to write your resume. Here’s a look at five tips that can help you create a memorable resume.

👉 Make sure to tailor your resume to the program
When admission counselors are looking at your grad school resume, they are looking for relevancy of your previous work experience and the graduate program you’ve chosen. Review the program details including its requirements, objectives, core requirements, and any relevant keywords that you can include in your resume.

👉 Relevant Work Experience
Highlight all relevant work experience including volunteer work and internships you’ve completed. It is important that you display the duties that you performed in those roles, both hard skills and soft skills.

👉 Skills
Flaunt your skills with a separate section on your resume. Be sure to include technologies, relevant skills, general skills, and other competencies that are required.

👉 Professional Achievements
Don’t forget to add any other achievements that you’ve received such as professional certificates, memberships to professional organizations, and any publications.

👉 Spic and Span
No admissions counselor wants to read word vomit. Do not let your resume exceed the one-page mark. It should be clean, well-formatted, and easy to read. Your resume represents you, so see that it’s polished and detailed and explains your background and experiences clearly.
